Be prepared to be amazed! Salut Salon is a very different kind of quartet. They talk to each other with their instruments and show emotions and humor. It is mesmerizing! This quartet adds instrumental acrobatics when performing.
“Salut Salon” roughly translates to “Hi, Living Room.” Salut comes from their very first repertoire called “Salut d‘amour” and “Salon” because that is where it all started, in their living room.
After their first concert, the headline in one of the German newspapers read: “A Quartet is born.” This quartet now performs over 120 concerts a year. Salut Salon also appears in guest performances in cities all over Europe, in the USA, China and South America.
The quartet consists of the German Angelika Bachmann, who plays the violin, Iris Siegfried, also a German, who also plays the violin and sings, Anne-Monika von Twardowski, originally from South Africa, who plays the piano, and Sonja Lena Schmid from Heidelberg, who plays the cello.
Oskar, an honorary member with Salut Salon, is not only a master of the xylophone but also a virtuoso pianist, cellist and violinist as well as a puppeteer.
